Drought Strategies for Livestock Producers Meeting

Ohio State University Extension, in partnership with the Adams, Brown, and Highland County Cattlemens' Associations are hosting a meeting on Tuesday July 10th at Southern State Community College in Fincastle starting at 7:00 p.m. Hamburgers will be provided at the meeting starting at 6:30. Topics covered include: Use of Oats for Additional Pasture or Hay, Benefits of Strip and Rotational Grazing, Benefits of Early Weaning and Feeding Calves, Supplemental Feeding with Grain or By-Products, Decisions about Keeping or Removing Animals from the Farm, and Alternative Forages for Late Fall Pasture and/or Early Spring Pasture.
